you don't feel it at first;

the harsh reality,

pain,

agony.

There's almost always regret.

Regret that

there was little time to spend together-

and yet,

we could not control it,

the clock was always out of reach,

ticking, ticking,

for no one but itself.

songs of fate

ghosts, 

whisper and laugh
